New plans have been drawn up to connect Malaga Airport to Alhaurin de la Torre. This would create a lot of work in Alhaurin and the building of an airport cit called the Technopolis, creating jobs both within the building industry and also the financial sector.
The Junta de Andalucia has now got the ball in their court as to whether the go-ahead will be given but the mayor is confident that this will be possible. Local support for the new link is very strong and the town hall is hoping that the matter will be resolved soon and plans can soon turn into real development.
